I recently put in a new ignition switch and after that was installed i tried to start it and it needed full gas and it was very ruff and died shortly after. The Carb had smoke coming out of it, not a lot. I messed around with the choke and needles and that did not help. The carb seems to be leaking so im going to try replacing that. Is that probably the problem or could their be more too it? Where could i get a good cheap carb for a 250 engine

Also would like a carb rebuild kit work or would it be safer to go with a new one? I dont have a lot of money which is why i was thinking about going with the rebuild

i just went through and checked all the hoses and wires neither of which i found a lose one too. Could the switch possibly be bad causing it to run bad? I have messed around with adjusting it but no difference.
