Just wanted to say hello. I recently picked up a 1970 Mav as a roller. My goal is to build a nice street/strip stock suspension 275 drag radial car. This is my first Maverick and I can't wait to get started. I just couldn't build another stock suspension fox body mustang lol!! You guys have a great site with a ton of great info! Thanks for having me. I'd like to add a question as well. Where in the heck do I start with the front suspension? What parts are most commonly used? I know many choose to go with a MustangII setup; however, rules only allow me direct bolt in suspension. Any suggestions?
Welcome to the board. How fast do you want to go. I run high 11's with my 308. All stock front suspension. 3 way CE front shocks and narrow front tires.
Welcome aboard! :Handshake I'm in the 6.90's with stock suspension but my car is only taken to the track occasionally. Where are you in Florida? There's gonna be a bunch of us down at Silver Springs in January. You should come meet up with us.
Thanks! I'm down in Ft. Lauderdale. I'll have to look into the January event. What kind of motor setup are you running to 6.90's?
347, Trickflows, Toploader, 4.30 gears. Turned a 6.97 twice and a few 7.0's. Hard to keep anything consistent with the 4 speed but it's fun.
