i just noticed these two holes on my heads should they be covered by the intake.do i have the wrong intake? will this cause a vacum leak. thanks john
does any exhast come out when running. if so then something needs to be done. if not then i have no idea what those are.
no exaust comes out but i can hear lifters until i cover the hole then it goes away.i think i will spray some starting fluid there to see if it increases rpm if not i will just leave them alone.i will keep everyone posted to what i find thursday. john
that's for emissions crossover... shouldnt hurt anything to leave them like that, and it wont suck air or anything
when it warms up i can get the idle down when i open the manuel choke all the way up.in the duels video the motor is still choked.
yeah i think its almost all the way out so only a couple of turns.still when its warmed up i think its idleing to high.i need to install my tach so i know for sure what rpm im running. also need to do a final timeing check.
Others will probobly correct me but I think it should be screwed in till it stops and turned out 1 1/2 to 2 turns as a starting point. Then you adjust with a vacuum guage, providing no leaks and timing is correct ect...
i think it needs to be all the way out then turned in one and a half to two turns.if i turn it all the way in first it will open up the throttle wide open.i think.
I think Gene is thinking about the 2 idle screws on the front of the carb. But I might be wrong...so If I am Gene needs to yell at me :16suspect
