I'd love to meet up, but like Terry said I'm going to Greenville, SC this weekend to get some parts for my '71 F250. If you want to meet up next weekend, just let me know a time and place.
Its a 4 hour drive one way its just gonna be a pain to make 2 trips thats why i need some people to meet up with or something
Plan on it. Won't be much of a rebuild though, just a quick going through. I stripped my truck down to the rolling frame a few weeks ago, only took 4 hours to do it. Those old trucks are so ridiculously simple, it's great.
I am pm'd you back.. Thats really really nice to offer. Im gonna try to run down there friday or saturday and pay for both of them because he is trying to sell them and i will go back next weekend to get the other maybe we can meet up then
Do that only if you want arrested and fined heavily! The only way to haul more than one car at a time is to have a trailer specifically made for multiple car hauling and a truck large enough to carry the weight capacity. Chances are you're going to need a health endorsement for your license if not a CDL too. Trust me, I drove big rigs for a living before I ruined my lower back. State patrols have NO lenience when it comes to heavy hauling. As far as the titles, all you need is a signed and notarized bill of sale from him to you. Cars that old in Georgia don't have titles and your local DMV will accept that in lieu of a title. I've done it several times here in SC. If it turns out that you don't want to get the cars or think it's going to be too much of a problem for you, send me a PM and maybe we can work something out. -Scott H.
Jamie is offering to help me out with just the price of gas which is very nice. If that falls through i will just make two trips.
Just waiting to verify with the guy in SC that Sunday will be ok with him instead of Saturday. If so, I'm game. I love road trips! Especially Maverick road trips! Man, I might end up putting some serious miles on my Chevy truck this weekend.
