do a search for you area. I looked into having a set of the Ford factory wheels from the 70 s F 150,,,, they wanted $150. too rich for my blood!
Near hendersonville, about 13 mins away from you. http://www.wheelrepairtn.com/KWICKSILVER_TN_08/WHEELREPAIR_OF_TN.html
Due you have a chrome plating shop in your area I would start there most all chrome plating shop will polish wheels
If you want to polish them youself, Eastwood has several kits. http://search.eastwood.com/search?asug=&w=wheel+polishing+kit&p=Q&ts=custom&x=5&y=9 I have one but haven't tried it yet.
I have slots and it costed around $170 (if I recall correctly) to straighten and resurface each wheel where I went. I happened to see that they had what looked like a huge sandpaper like sponge on a buffer. It was layling on the rollaround that they used to bring my wheels out on. They are not polished but look almost new compared to what they did look like. The edges had nicks and they were bent. I'm pleased and glad it's paid for. I'm broke now lol.
Be nice and explain the process in which you cleaned and polished the wheels so that he can try it,maybe please.
Some polishing guys hang out at truckstops, usually get $5-10 per wheel, and $10-20 per tank. This is big truck stuff, these guys might do your mags cheaper. There's a few truckstops around Nashville, maybe there's some polishers at one of 'em.
