I'm ready to start getting my wire harness back in the 70 and I don't want to use the stock itty bitty fuse box with the glass fuses. Has anyone used a big spade type fuse box from a completely different car? I know that GM used these type fuse boxes back in the 80's. I'm thinking possibly one from a big car that would have a lot of space for options. I've removed a lot of them out of Buick Regals/Monte Carlos/Grand Prix cars to build stock cars out of and I remember them being quite large.
I bought mine off ePay, was actually designed for a boat so it comes with terminals that don't corrode like the stock tin plated ones. Mounted it on the package tray so it's easy to get at.
Barry, do you have a link to the one that you bought or one like it? I want to mount mine in the trunk right next to where my battery is going. Then I'll re-wire forward from there.
Mine doesn't have a cover. I had to look at mine when I got home from work. (You remember work, right Frank? ) Mine actually has 14 fuses and I think I paid $10 or so more for it.
