I did alot of different searches throughout the forum and havent really found this out. Im in need of leaf springs and people have said general spring. I read some where that people said JCW so i looked there and the price is incredibly different so i want to make sure which one to get. here are the links

here they are for 30 bucks they dont have the double eye but if they fit im sure i can find them on another site

    http://www.jcwhitney.com/LEAF_SPRIN...011310;0;100001;ProductName;1;0;0;0;2005964;0

and then compared to 110 bucks

    http://www.generalspringkc.com/index.php?p=catalog&parent=105&pg=1

any idea on if the 30 dollar ones are worth it? or should i keep lookin?

I got my springs from espo and they fit and work great. They are 4 leafs also. They are very nice people to deal with to. I got mine in 4 days too.

With all the bushings and shackels I think it was $275.00 including shipping.

I got my 4-leaf springs from JCWhitney for $137 shipped, then new stock sized shackles and bushings from AutoKrafters for $40. All fit well and I have had no issues with them. This was back in March of 06, and apparently, there have been several issues with wrong sized eyes and just being backordered in recent years.

yea i looked in to JCW as well and i was pleased with the prices but it like forwarded me to leaf springs for trailers which i guess could work. only thing is they dont have the one with 2 eyes. they only have like 1 eye and 1 hook or some crap like that. So far the cheapest ive found is about avg. $280 including shipping and bushings and shackles. Im still lookin around tryin to hopefully find some cheaper.

I believe I read that JCW springs aren't available anymore as of recently. I could be wrong though. Espo's website is http://springsnthings.com

And of course there's always the white trash way I did it. :D

Yes, that's right. JCW springs are no longer available. In fact, anybody selling springs supplied John R Spring no longer has any. That means the cheap springs (like JCW) are no longer sold. That's why I bought springs from General Spring in KC. They were the next cheapest option and are super nice. Here are two related threads.
