    Thats right.
I have a friend that can make me shrouds so I figure it really doesn't matter what they look like underneath. Therefore, standard exhaust pipes with chromed tips under a shiny perforated shroud.
Mufflers off the headers with 45s to the pipes about halfway down. I'll fake the front half with a 90 leading under the car to nowhere.
    They will be awesome.

if he can make you heat shields why not come off the header with two 90's and run a tube style muffler under the sheild with a chrome tip(I would recomend stainless it dosnt flake and last longer at the other end if you use some steel wool and elbow grease you can make the pipes look almost chrome aluminized tubing polishs up real nice with time but not as good as stainless might be interested in making some for myself send pics please.

You should do them like the Little Red Express Truck from the late seventies, J/K :yahoo::D(y)

As I was driving the box truck today I began to notice all the semis around me and how they had huge perforated shrouds covering their stacks. Some appeared to be 8 inches or so around.
I could get one from a local truck boneyard and actually slice it in half lengthwise to make two shrouds. They are just for looks so they don't have to go full circle.
