stopped at a shop today and a guy almost ran up to my mav. he knew where a grabber hood was for sell. he gave me the directions and off i went. when i got there the hood was leaned up against a tree. no one was home so we left. about two hours later we (my son and i) went back. he has a 77' mav. for sell. we talked a little and he looked my mav. over. i asked about the price and he said $450. the car is 2dr., auto., 250 6cyl. front disk and no air. it had a new windsheild gasket installed. the kicker was he said he would throw in the grabber hood and a trunk lid for the $450. i told him i would come tow it to my house tomorrow and he said "why", it runs, i could drive it home. i will post pics. later...frank...
Frank, great score! You guys in GA seem to have a disproportionate amount of these cars just sitting around. I swear, y'all are lucky. You just don't see them around up here, not even in scrap yards. So what are your plans for it? Sam

"Technically" (I still call them Magnums...) they are styled steel wheels, and yes, they did come on Mavericks in later years. They were standard on the Stallion package, and I believe the late Grabbers as well. I have a set I replaced with the chrome ones that I started to repaint.. someday I may finish that...
