Hooker 6901's fit very well...but you will have to jack the engine around to get them in, most likely. The car does need to be up off the ground to go in from under the bottom.

I have had my Hooker 6901's in and out of my car several times and other than removing the spark plugs and lifting the engine a few inches have never had a problem installing them from the bottom. Same with the Blackjack headers that I had years ago.

    Do you have power steering?

yes power steering, the headers kept bindin at the steering box and the heads. at the bottom they would either hit the oil pan or where the speedo hole is.

with power steering, you will need a P?S lowering bracket. they are pretty inexpensive and everyone selld them.

Did you drop the power steering slave cylinder down?
Does the car have the braces on it that go between the top of the shock towers and firewall? Reason I ask is the towers could have moved inward if they are not installed.

no drop , i took off the braces.. tilted one side of the motor, banged the headers. just seems like without either pullin the motor or removin the steering box i cant get it in.

I put a set of Flowtech headers on my '74 (no power steering). I have a B&M shifter so no linkage to get in the way. They went in super easy.
