    :slap:

Nobody's racing anybody and I'm sorry I opened my mouth about the dude's headers and cam.

It's just a funny pic. And the caption is funny.

"Oh ho ho! It's funny because he said power and he meant electricity!"

    Hi,

Throw $35,000 dollars at a sound "Maverick," and you are still well below the price of the tricked out Z06 Vette with an LS2. With that kind of money, I would run a 351c/408 stroker dumping out about 575 BPH at 6250 RPM on pump gasoline. A friend and professional race car chassis fabricator says he can get all of that to the ground and have it hook up on the street dragging a 4.33 rear end. At 3300 pounds with a portly driver, I expect that once the Maverick's transbrake was released it would suck the doors off the Z06 by the time it was going forty miles per hour. Pink slip for pink slip I would expect, however, I do not support illegal street racing.

    David

P.S. - Mavrick's don't do corners - never have, never will. But the Z06 will do corners but not with a big set of drag radials on the back end.

Yes... I think you can throw $35k into any car and have a Vette killer. Let's start a thread about that.

Funny picture a guy I know has a vett that body style with a 427 stroker with a big cam , it still lopes at 30 mph . The funny thing is it has a 40 dollar valucraft battery with no hold down in a car that puts over 575 hp to the wheels

Oh you didn't open nothin' man... My fault. I should remember GM is the enemy around here, and posting a pic of a Vette is like blood in shark infested waters. :rofl2:

So far the first and only GM I've ever owned has left me stranded 3 times in the 2 months I've owned it. One time while pulling a trailer full of scrap metal up blood mountain up in north GA. That was fun.

Now the steering column is trying to fall off. It's not a bad truck though when it starts.

It's a Delco battery, might be original. It's definitely not holding a charge as long as it should.
