shock tower brace

    I am looking for a shock tower brace for a 72 Maverick. Who in the aftermarket makes one of these??

    I am looking for a brace that ties the 2 shock towers together with the firewall.

    other than the factory ones stamped steel ones, your going to have to make em yourself, search, there are tons of threads on people that did it

    I've got one I bought from MPG Head in Colorado. It was for an early mustang. I had to cut 3/4" from each end and retap the left hand thread, since it didn't go all the way through. 1 hole on each side of the cowl lined up and I had to drill the other 1 per side. They have a web site. You might have to go to my images to see it.:)

    Don, did you have to bend the piece that bolts to the cowl lip? I think early Mustangs are flat in that area.

    Yes I did Barry. JUst used a set of channelocks. I like them cause all you do is loosen them and pull the pins and they come right off.:)
