I bought this on E-bay 3-4 years ago. It has never been opened. I don't have a clue how detailed it is, or accurate to stock as a GT would be.

Does anyone know if this is a detailed model?
There is no scale size listed on the box, but given the box size, it is smaller than the typical plastic model.
I wonder if it has the GT striping?
I have seen similar models with electric motors included.

Im not into model kits, Im guessing you don't want to open it? Does that diminish its worth? It looks really cool!

Well as bad as it would be for the retail value, I say open it, if it's decent enough it would be cool to make a resin mold out of.

Seth all of the Palmer models Ive seen in the past have multiple body parts. The sides are separate from the top of the body, the bodys are not moulded in one piece. Their scale is a little smaller than say AMT kits. Thats a cool kit but if you have some money into it I would leave it sealed.
    Bob

ps: if you open it please post some pictures .............

It seems like I paid $40 or something similar. I am sure that I wouldn't have bought it if it weren't sealed. Of course I could have paid $$ for a box of cutup plastic junk that someone resealed!

I have some sport cards from back in the late 80's/early 90's that I never opened for the same reason....presumption of value.

The best thing I can tell you is to go over to the Model Cars Magazine forum, join up there, and ask. Here's the link:

    http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/

There's a bunch of good, knowledgeable people over there that would be able to answer your question better than I could.

If you want you can even tell them I sent you there. I go by the same name / handle (Scott H. / Cpt. Bondo) on both sites.

    Hope this helps,
    -Scott H.

I have the Palmer Grabber but I'm in the same boat...never opened. Hmmm...we may have both been scammed by the same guy! May never know.

i don't see how you guys do it. if i get a model the first thing i do is tear into it. regardless of age/value it may have, unless its some uberly collectible car. if im gonna spend the money on something, i usually wanna use it, i guess im just not patient.
