460 swap

    Just remember that small block stroker has been STROKED. The 460 it is running against has not but can be to a large extent. lol

    Yeah I thought of that. :D Imagine the torque of over 500 cubic inches. (y) I didn't mention it because usually if someone has access to a cheap or free 460 and wants to know how to put it in, they are not usually thinking about modifying it, just how hard and how expensive.

    well, aside from all that you probably need custom transmission mounts and the driveshaft shortened, depending on the car it came from...
    I'm putting a EFI 302 in mine and its quite a bit of work already

    alright man i think im gonna jump in on this cause it should be the same issue for the both of us. as soon as we get my buddys truck up and running again we are tucking a 429cj into his. so come on guys give us details. need to know what were looking at.

    If it's a 67-79 F100-F150 you are putting the 429CJ in then there is not much too that at all. IT will fit perfectly with all stock 460 parts from a 74 or so and later 460 F150. Might have to do some drive shaft and exhaust work but other than that an easy swap
