    Hey Guys,
Hope everyone is doing well. Was wondering if anyone knew the whereabouts of the fuel filter. I do not have a manual but will be getting one soon. It will not turn over. I am thinking that I need a new carb. My choke has already been taken out of the circuit. Autozone has it in stock for $129..I have a 200 I6..I am not getting gas into the carb so I am checking the fuel filter for clogs. Am i on the right track??? Thanks.

on the stock carbs the filter screws into the front of the carb and the hose clamps directly onto it... you should be able to get replacements at kragen pretty cheap. you can check the fuel pump by unplugging the hose and setting it in a gas can then crank the motor to see if it pumps gas into the can.

    Fuel Pump Replacement (For novices)

If you ever have to replace the fuel pump loosen the fuel filter line a bit and turn the key for about 10 seconds at a time until fuel drips out by the filter. I take so much info from this site I thought this might help a novice like me someday. I replaced mine this weekend and I am very proud of myself. My first instinct was to tow it to the shop but I went to Autozone and got one for $30 and installed it. Not a major overhaul but it's a start. I was looking for something else to do after the car actually started.
