I have a 75 comet sedan with a 250ci engine and an automatic tranny and I was wondering how realistic it would be to swap the tranny for a manual? What kind should I get if this is even a good choice. I have a wide range of junk yards and other old cars to choose from and all the tools to do it...

The 250 uses the same bellhousing as a sbf, So thats good. I really dont know nothing about manual trannies. But you might wanna check fordsix.com i bet youll find your answer there. Good Luck!

Only hard part might be the clutch pedal set up. They are getting pricey unless you can find one in a junkyard. As far as transmissions, I would go with a T5. Going to have to fab up some clutch linkage but there are lots of options. Hydraulic would be the easiest.
