Do I need a fuel pressure regulator?

    Car is running rich with my Edelbrock 600CFM carb. I adjusted it by hooking up a vaccuum guage and adjusted the mixture screws to max vaccuum.

    I read that the Edelbrock carb should have 5.5 lbs of fuel pressure and the fuel pump I have is delivering 8 lbs ....

    I had to with my edelbrock, was blowing so much fuel I had puddles under the header collecters, so I would say most definatly
