I just moved from St. Louis to New Mexico. I found a 1974 Comet GT (yellow). I went to look at this car, adn there were some disappointing things...like the car has sat forever...but it may have been underwater at a point. There was mud everywhere, the interior was shot, and there was a 6 cyl under the hood. I have pictures if you need them. The only rust is at the rear of each wheel well on the quarters. The 6 cyl was the deal breaker...very low asking price. Anyway, the car has the sport mirrors and the hod scoop in tact. THe hood was damaged. If interested I can give the information for the owner (who is a teenager) with a new baby. So the price would not be high for parts. Car in is New Mexico
where is it at? looks ok for having sat forever, cept for that comet front end j/k.might make a good parts car for the 4-door im getting.
Yeah, I saw this posted on craigslist $1,500 I don’t remember him saying it was an I-6 and your mentioning of the mud found everywhere would worry me. I hate to see a GT parted out.
Calm down straws if it wasn’t on CL then there was a yellow one a lot like it in AZ for $1,500.00 other wise it was on CL AZ, NM, what’s the difference? See Albuquerque, NM Craigslist 74 Comet GT looks very simular.
