The 28 oz flywheel also was standard on the 351. BEST to buy a new one for about $65.

What size clutch are you using 10" or 10.5"? If your using a 10" you can use one for a 80-81 stang. For a 10.5" you have to go after market.

I got mine from Kajun Enterprises for $140 back in 2004.

A 157 tooth flywheel is the only thing that is going to fit the stock T5 bellhousing. 164 tooth flywheels are too big.

non, no, no... Most, if not all 351s came with the 164 tooth flywheel. I am pretty sure you are correct about them being 28 oz but you don't want to buy a 351 flywheel for a 302 mating it to a T-5.

I just went through all this with bellhousings. I had the correct flywheel but had a helluva time getting the correct 4 speed toploader bellhousing to mate to my 4 speed and 302, because the 302 need the bellhousing for a 157 tooth flywheel and I bought one and kept finding the bellhousings for the toploader 4 speed but they were for the 164 tooth flywheel that came on the 351 engines.
