Wow ,im almost done bevs complete restoration of her 1971 v8 floor shift grabber and im amazed at the poor quality that ford did on the paint work for these cars, ie -runs all over the trunk lid ,runs in the engine bay, pulled the trunk lid spoiler off ,NO paint under if from the factory, still bare metal. Yes they painted the trunk lid with spoiler on . Anyway the New grabber blue base coat -clear coat with no runs is a huge step up from the original . I will post pics of it done in two weeks ,i still need to put it back together, new 347 stroker, new Cowen c4 with 3200 stall ,new body work and paint ,new silver grabber decals, new drag lites and tires ,new front and rear shocks ,new brakes, new 9 inch posi with 3:80 :1 car looks better than new i must say. cheers Jimmy:chirp:

Ford only built them to last 12 months or 12,000 miles ............. :D

We try to build them to last longer than we will ............. :yahoo:

I wish I had kept a log of all the factory screw ups we found on mine. Was missing 2 screws along the top of the dash at the windshield. No marks on the dash. They were never installed. The workmanship was horrible compared to the new cars. Expectations were lower back then though.

Jimmy, were did you get the silver Grabber stripes? I have been looking for some.

I need your converter also, I have been trying to find a good converter at a decent price but it looks like I am going to have to bite the bullet and spend the bucks and have one made.

Cant wait to see some pics of the car
