He has no room to talk, he bought a Chrysler. THOSE are junk. I know, I own one.

Worse than a Ford Maverick, thank God i own a Mercury Comet. Please, my Comet is about as original engine wise as you can get and after nearly 34 years with the same untouched engine it still works and starts with just a turn of the key and ONE pump of the gas!

I once was in a training class for some engine analyzer training and the teacher told us this story about some Chryslers having starting problems when pointing a sertain direction. This post story reminded me of that.

With the number of these cars that they built, it's inevitable that there are people out there who had a poor experience with them. Plus, taking into account that likely the majority of Mavericks ever built have gone to the crusher long ago, it would serve to reason that the ones still left running today represent some of the "better" ones that rolled off the line. Not going to get my undies in a bunch over some random guy on the internet complaining. I like my car and that's all that matters to me.

(Thanks Jamie, that was a good laugh)
Anyways, look at the cars the guy has bought, he's a cheap a$$, Omni....come on, I wish him luck with his 300.

Lemons do exist and should be replaced by the manaufacturer. That guy sounds like he may just have one of those cars.
Taht being said I've worked on hundreds of 300's and havent yet ran into one we couldnt fix. Sometimes not the first time as thats not realistic with intermittent issues like his. No faults, no info, not acting up=cant fix it at this time. If he has to disconnect the battery to get it running its like a reboot. Something is locked up and its probably the WIN. Wireless ignition node. The module the keyfob goes into(ignition). Updated module is the fix. They lock up and go no response. Maybe its good his dealer is closing and he can actually get his car fixed.
Some customers are never happy though. They are people we call Lemons as well as the cars.:)

Our Mavs likely had a few lemons back then. What I find a lot is people by an economy car then expect the quality and drivability of a Lincoln. We get it with the new cars like Calibers. Its a cheap tin can. It was a cheap tin can when the guy drove it before purchase and its the same cheap tin can after the purchase. Now he wants the road noise gone, tire noise gone, engine is too loud,no power, seats too hard etc. Its an economy car. If it drove like a luxury car it would have the price tag of a luxury car. I imagine thats a long the line of what happened with the Mavs back then as well.

I had an Omni once. Always started, stopped and went. Never had a single thought of trouble out of it. As simple as these cars are under the hood it is amazing to think they ever gave any trouble. I mean the 200 is a strong six. There is only one other six I'd rather have and it's got a pentastar on it so he can kiss my a$$. Hope enjoys his Mexican/Japanese hybrid.

that is defintly a canidate for lemon law. if the dealership can not fix a problem on the thrid try, leagly its a lemon. (at least here in california). this guy sounds like he doesnt have any luck with any car he drives. makes me wonder how he treats the cars. to mention that the trans had problems at 12000 miles then not to do anything about it till 35000 miles shows that he is his own problem. hopefully he doesnt buy a ford because he will have problems with what ever he has and will gripe about the car.
