Put the Mav on the road yesterday,it's done! Still have a lot of little things to do,but shaking it down and getting all the bugs out, huge car show the fourth right here in town, will debut it there.A lot of you know the story, but for those that don't I'll be brief.Had a '71 Grabber almost new in '72,stuck a 4sp.,9",headers,cam,ect. in it and moved to the Clearwater,Largo area in '73,raced it a bunch at Twin city (or Tri City?) then moved back home to PA. again ,had a lot of good memories in that car,so after a 100+ cars (FORDS!) and many years of building Racecars,Streetrods,Muscle cars,I decided to recreate my original black and silver '71 Grabber. It's not a real Grabber but I don't care as it LOOKS like my old one and is a LOT faster! It has a 357 Windsor,Roush heads,Motorsports cam,Stealth intake,Roller Rockers,Gear drive,Flat top Ross pistons,10.1 compression,Balanced and Bluprinted,Headers,9",Detroit Locker,3.70s,31 spl Mosers,Ladder bar coil over rear,Fuel cell,Cage,4WDBs,Must.II front,Line loc,cut outs,4sp Toploader,it's all black with silver stripes,I painted the stripes, and inlay on the hood.I stayed true to form on everything on the outside for a '71Grabber except the hood inlay I carried over the humps,I like it better that way,and the rear spoiler,I moved the Maverick emblem to the left and put a Grabber sticker on the right,I hope you like it,special thanks to ,Davis,Jamie Miles, and Allen Small for the last few pieces to finish it,Jack
That is awsome!!! The look...the stance...the cage...all of it is just too cool for school. You have built yourself one heck of a piece of machinery.
The car looks fantastic. I don't remember the story. Is it the same as the car in the old pic, or a recreation of your former car?
