Shopping for replacement power steering hoses for 71 Comet GT.

O'Reilly website lists the following hoses.

    #70678 Pressure Hose (pump end)

#70679 Pressure Hose (control valve end)

#70656 Return Hose (Replaces both upper and lower hose)

Descriptions from website are in parentheses.

I no longer have power steering in my car so I cannot remember if I need to buy all three or just 2 of them.

A complete power steering system takes all 3 hoses.

I only remembered two, but I wasn't sure. It has been a couple years since I saw one.

    Thanks for the correction.:Handshake

Which one do I need 2 of?

I want to assume the third one, which says "replaces upper and lower hose"?

I just bought 5 ft of hose and cut the two upper hoses to fit. They clamp on.

I am buying them and shipping them over to one of our Norwegian members, and I don't have the parts on my car, so that is why I am asking. Need to get the right parts the first time, because the overseas shipping will at least double the cost for him. And then he cannot return them. I don't want to ship it over and it be the wrong parts, and end up just more of the clutter on his garage floor...

Went in to order parts, and I just don't know which ones they are.

I have my trusty AutoKrafters catalog. It has so many different hoses, I am even MORE confused.

I don't suppose anyone with a 71 Comet GT 302 can look at AK and tell me which parts I need, or should I just buy all of them from OReilly, including 2 return lines?

    HEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!:dizzy:

Power Steering hoses are engine specific. Can he take pictures of what he has and email them to you?

Why is he replacing ALL the hoses. Do they all leak?

There are (3) hoses between the pump and the control valve. There are (2) hoses between the control valve and slave cylinder. (5) total hoses on a Maverick.
