i'm not to sure about no name fuel products why don't you but the holly blue pump it is what i'm using in my car and it's great. it runs about $160 shipped stick with what works without guessing and running the risk of problems with a cheap part
I understand what your saying and your probablly right. But im kinda on a budget. Just trying to save a $$$$$$$$ or 2.
Is procomp "no-name"? They are sold by JEGS. They have over 30 pages of products in the JEGS catalog. Yes, I have never heard of them, but if JEGS carries them, I would assume they have at least a marginal reputation.
I have personally never used them, but have "heard" of them. Why don't you call JEGS and ask them what kind of feedback they have heard from selling procomp parts? Those guys are usually honest, or they will tell you "you would be better off with X brand."
On a budget? Mr. Gasket 12D works perfectly even feeding 3 carbs on a 400+ hp motor. $30 at your local Advance Auto or Autozone.
This debate has been going on for awhile some of the stuff pro-comp makes is absolute junk some of it is good. All of their stuff is made in china and most of it is knock offs of brand name products. Usually this question is on the pro-comp distributors you can do a serch for that on the forums and on the web and you will find alot of people that swing one way or another.
No regulator needed. I'm running it without one in my Comet. I have the same pump in my 89 Ranger, been there for 8 years now doing the job. 30 gal/hr---3-7 psi. If you stop to think about it, 30 gal/hr translates to 2 mpg @60 mph. So with a carb, you'll virtually never get that far into the capacity with a stock to mild 302.
