c4 questions

I was pulling up to a stop sign and i accidently slipped it into first without thinking, and a rather loud "electronic" sound came form the trans? anyone know what this is all about? Paul S, you out there?

I have never heard the C4 make any kind of sound when coming to a stop - in or out of Low gear. I have heard a governor buzz - but that was caused by a semi-stuck valve. Does it still operate properly? It may have been the governor complaining.

 

yeah its great shifts excellent manually and automatically.

The governor controls full throttle shifts and the down-shifts when coming to a stop.
If it is behaving itself don't worry about it. If it starts hang-shifting or not shifting into low at a stop then you can ask how to fix it.
