Ok gang,if you have been following along...The Sprint is getting a bit closer to roadworthy...sort of.After replacing the front suspension/disc brake swap and fixing a big old whopper of a hole (compliments of the swap monkey).I cleaned up the engine comp a bit and tidied the wireing some.I also added a 3-G alt into the mix. This weeks chapter concludes the major repair portion of the Yonkers Sprint rising from the dead. The original core support was hammered badly. My guess is the swap monkey dropped the 351 on the support while putting it in.Or dropped the 200/C-4 on it pulling it out.Either way the old one is out(after much spotweld drilling)The new one is now permanently in place and looks soo much better. The original was so horribly mangled I didnt even take a pic of it.(didnt want the camera to break)Of course I also had to repair the right fender apron(no surprise there) This did allow me to install one of the new "Battery trays" which fit superbly and looks so nice.Nuff said heres some pics.
And heres the rest of the pics...OOH my tires came in today so the next pics will have the new tires and my painted magnum 500s' on the car.
nice job. Fortunately, the battery tray on my car one one of the few things that hasn't needed fixing
well im gonna build my Grabber with a windsor and if it turns out like your's, ill be pleased. always glad to help out a friend :Handshake
Good job!!! Thats a lot of work and progress. Need to fix my batt tray over the winter. Its not too bad but will need a patch in the end. We are trying to come across a spiral core batt. for me at work for next year.
