Hello everyone. I just purchased a 1973 Mercury Comet and am really getting in to it. Never had a "classic" car before. Question - I used to own a 1974 Comet way back in 1974 and it had a regular glove compartment with a cover as I recall. This 1973 Comet does not have a glove compartment with a cover but rather just an open, empty area. Is this right for a 1973? Also, the far left and right vents are not the rectanglar ones I've seen pictured for this year. Rather, they are round with built in leaf-like inserts and rotate around and around. The ones in the middle of the dash are however the rectangle ones. Is this stock? Thanks
It is all stock. 73 was a transition year for the glove box. Some have them and some have the package tray. Package trays had the round vents (for factory ac) on each end of the tray.
Thanks Mavaholic Thanks Mavaholic. Appreciate it. I feel much better knowing the answer and that it is all stock Lar
