What will it take to put a T-5 into a Maverick? I need to know everything! Car already has clutch pedal setup with the Z-bar,but I know a T-5 is cable operated!!!!!!

    Hi,
It doesn't take too much, but unfortunately it's enough to suggest that you just search through old posts (use search at the top). There's just too much to cover...

    The highlights:
*You will need to modify your crossmember and shorten your driveshaft.
*The hardest part is the clutch, you can use your Z-bar but you have to modify the T-5 bellhousing. Some mustang sites will show you how. You can also use the cable setup out of a mustang. I used a hydraulic setup, which was the most expensive but also the easiest.

There are quite a few mustang sites that have done the same, if you search on google. If you have specific questions, i'd be happy to answer them, as i've done the swap.

You can buy an adapter plate from any Mustang supply house. Got mine from CJ Pony Parts. Then just bolt it in. Use your existing clutch linkage. You'll have to fabricate a rear mount and shorten your driveshaft.
