I remember somebody posting a diagram for the factory indash A/C, but can't find it now. Anybody got a copy of it, with the color codes on which hose goes where? Some of mine popped off when I started taking out the heater box and I'm not sure where they go. Also, how is a good way to check the dash vacuum switch to make sure it is sending the vacuum to the right motor and that the motors indeed do work? I don't have one of those hand vacuum pumps, wish I did. I do have one of those A/C vacuum pumps that you pull the system down with before you charge it though. Might be able to use it somehow [thinking out loud, lol] My panel is still perfect, I don't want to take it off and risk breaking the tabs or the panel itself unless I have to replace the switch.

Use you a/c vacuum pump . Drop your hose size down to fit the vacuum hose on the car and turn the pump on good source . This a good way to test the hole system ( switch and all motors , hoses )..

On another note, this came out of the early service manual for a 70. Starting in 71 they went to a plastic vacuum switch and the plug for all the vacuum lines is flipped 180ยบ.

Thanks Dennis! That is the one I was looking for! One thing I see already, I don't have the vacuum tank with the check valve, is it required? And can I bypass the water valve vacuum switch, tying the partial vacuum and full vacuum together, letting the selector turn on the water valve?
