Well i pulled the motor and transmission today because my tranny went out and motor was running like S&*t.... well i found out that my power steering pulley was rubbing on my wiring harness and ate through like 6 wires from what i can see is this caused me to loose my hi beams a while back (i thought it was the fire wall plug). wires lost "alt., high beams, running lights, front turn signals, almost lost my ign. wire barely cut.":mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: all my last few head aces are due to a damn power steering pump!!!!!

sorry had to vent now im set back like 2 days due to stupid litle thins like my trans filter not being in and the parts store being closed.:cry:

i'll post some pics of the new six when shes in w/ my floor shifter (stock pinto w/ mustang lever):dance::dance::dance::dance::dance:

Make it into a good thing! While the engine and trans are out, do all the maintenance items like detailing the engine compartment, fixing the wiring and and getting the trans working. Much easier on a stand or bench. That way, when it goes back in, you are set. Good luck!

Darn, sorry to hear that. That's the way it goes sometimes. On the bright side, Think how many hours you would have spent trying to find that especially when you thought it was something else and how nice it will be to have everything working again.

My one year project is now in the 5th summer and we still can't drive it. so you are way ahead of me. I'm envious.

Maybe the motor was running bad because the wiring was shorting to the power steering ....
