I think 68 bolts on but all of the lines will need massaged, but I would just keep it the way it is. but if you are looking for pics go to the top and do a search for mavstang.

Yes it takes alot of bodywork everything from cutting and matching the hood to massaging the lines out of the fenders to match the maverick body.
Honestly even though the running gear is the same you cant make a mustang out of a maverick for cheap, if you were going to attempt to do that considering the cost that would be involved or the labor involved if you were going to attempt it yourself, you might as well sell your car for a down payment on a mustang you can rebuild. It will save you alot of time alot of money and all of the parts you need for the body are readily available to make it alot easier for your, check your local craigslist and you will find you can find a mustang to rebuild for a couple thousand.

Please dont take offence because it is not meant to be offensive most of us buy or cars for many different reasons, everything from being cheap cars to sentimental value to being awsome cars in their own right. They arent mustangs, they stayed more to the economy car factor when the mustang turned more towards the bigger muscle car factor like the 69 and 70's. If you really want to try it go ahead, but be prepared for spending alot of money and time just getting the front end matched up but if you are concerned about costs there are better venues. That and I hate to say it they are expensive enough as is I can just imagine the cost of adding a mustang front end onto it.

You mean something like this mustangmaverick.jpg i think it looks sorta neat but i would still rather a full out Maverick or Comet all around but if you wanted to piss off the Mustang boys doing this would just about do it. By the way this Mustmaverick is long gone as it was written off in a t-bone accident.

I've thought about trying it since my uncle has a 68 and had planned to get replacement fenders for his, but i'd hate to have to pay to replace the grille should something happen to it. I may still end up doing it though, who knows. i should do it to a 4-door. anyways, it can be done, i've seen a couple of em if im not mistaken, and it looks pretty nice if its done right. if you do decide to go through with it, you should do a write-up of how difficult it was to do. like if it bolted right on, what year front end you used, just how much "massaging" it takes, etc, etc, etc. last time i checked i can't recall finding a tech article about doing it.
