First off, I'm a newbie and enjoy the discussions having to do with these unsung vehicles that weren't as widely recognized and loved by the masses as those that have owned one are. Years ago, I had an original 75 Grabber with approx 75000 on it and was the second owner. I put it in storage in Lake Havasu City, AZ when the distributor and timing chain went. I came on hard times and lost the unit due to unpaid fees. This was about 8 years ago and the unit has since been auctioned off. I have called several times to get the winning bidders info but (luckily) privacy laws still exist. I would love to find my "girl" again and finish what I started with her so many years ago. She was the grabber rust orange with white stripes, bucket seats, 302 and sport mirrors. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Welcome aboard! Yes, the dmv is your best bet. It might help if you know someone in law enforcement too. Maybe you can get them to run the numbers for you.
If you have the VIN I could probably find out who has it...Im good friends with the police chief in my town and if Im not mistaken I think they can search any state tags on their system.
Thanks for all the responses. It will probably take some time to locate the vin but I do have the plate#. Not sure if that will help. Once again though, thanks
Well, if you can't find the VIN, they may be able to run the plate and the VIN may be on record that way. to the board!
The VIN should be on the title... Unless the title was in the car I would think you would have that put away in a safe place.
