How much work would it be to install this manifold with 2 carbs and stuff? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Edel...c0.m245&_trkparms=72:1171|65:12|39:1|240:1318
It would look fricking cool!! but if your engine doesn't need the cfm or fuel that 2 carbs can provide, then it does nothing but waste gas.
yea that intake plus a pair of these- http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=HLY%2D0%2D9776&N=700+115&autoview=sku Plus This- http://store.summitracing.com/partd...&N=700+4294887855+4294903307+115&autoview=sku Equals AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I believe you have to run Edelbrock style carbs on that intake. Don't think there is enough room for 2 Holley's.
I think you would also want a set of ported and polished aftermarket heads, a heck of a camshaft, a set of aftermarket rods and pistons with all of the machining and balancing to go along with them at the minimum. Kind of like back in high school when the rich kids came back to school on Monday morning with their 350 chevy thumping with what they called a 3/4 race cam and a new 750 or larger mechanical secondary Holley with gas just about dripping out the tail pipes and asking the shop teacher why it didn't run any faster than before. lol On a stock or mild engine I think it would be way too much carb but it would look cool as hell. lol clint
Look cool but go slower unless you have the motor and car for all that fuel. Lets put it this way. If you built the engine and car around that intake you would have one nasty lookin really expensive ride. Seems a bit odd to have dual quads on a dual plane intake. That would be an interesting build.
