64-67 fuel tank swap

    hi changed my tank for a 64-67 type but i dont know if i should modify my fuel filler to fit or one from a mustang or from a 69 maverick will fit better thank you for advice

    I like what you did as having the tank drop in from the trunk.
    Is that a Mustang tank?
    How does it look from under the car?

    yes its a mustang tank if i remember right its a 64-67. My trunk floor has too much rust so i cut all trunk floor and made one. I am at school but tonight i will upload pics.

    in the pic...if that filler pipe is mounted to the tailpanel, then it looks like the tank needed to have been mounted a little more to the rear...

    Take the filler neck to a muffler shop and have it tweaked...then cut an inch or two off the length on the neck...buy a filler hose from Napa. Does the neck look like it is heading in the right direction when looking down while standing at the rear bumper? If not, drill new screw holes in the neck's mounting flange.
