distributor shaft size

    1972 Maverick 351w swap, 1965 Mustang 355 glide, 1993 civic daily driver
    I have been having problems with the duraspark distributor and have decided it is more trouble than it is worth. I am going to put a points distributor back in it and get a steel gear for the roller cam. I am wanting to know what size shaft a 73 302 points distributor would have. I believe it is .467 but not sure. Thanks for any help

    It should be the same size as your dura spark disy .

    .467 is correct. The TFI Duraspark distributors had the larger shaft size.
