302 2V or 4V

    I want a 302 sticker for my breather to make it look some what original and one says 302 2v and one says 4v which one is correct i have a 1973 with a 302

    302 2v. No maverick came from the factory with a 4 barrel carb. Do you have a 4 barrel or 2 barrel carb. It'd look wierd to have a 2 bbl sticker on a 4 bbl.:)

    what Don said. be sure to get the sticker for ur engine setup, not just what it came with :rolleyes:

    Perhaps a little clarity for you. The "v" is the # of barrels on the carb. Ie 2v= 2 barrell.

    If you get the larger style v8 air filter housing, it will take a 302 4v sticker off an older Stang or whatever, and look perfectly stock to 99.9% of folks. Dan has one on his 71. IIRC, 71 had the larger air filter housing, then 72-73 had the small one. I have my doubts that the 4v sticker would fit the small housing properly. I don't know that there was a 4v 302 that ever used a housing small enough that the sticker would look 'at home'.

    If you have an aftermarket air filter housing... then do what works.

    Do what your setup is. Although, I find it funny how BOSSMAVERICK's car had a 351C 4V and he had a 170 sticker on the air-cleaner.

    Lol i gonna get one of those stickers that has maverick horns and says 105 horsepower
