I want a 302 sticker for my breather to make it look some what original and one says 302 2v and one says 4v which one is correct i have a 1973 with a 302
302 2v. No maverick came from the factory with a 4 barrel carb. Do you have a 4 barrel or 2 barrel carb. It'd look wierd to have a 2 bbl sticker on a 4 bbl.
If you get the larger style v8 air filter housing, it will take a 302 4v sticker off an older Stang or whatever, and look perfectly stock to 99.9% of folks. Dan has one on his 71. IIRC, 71 had the larger air filter housing, then 72-73 had the small one. I have my doubts that the 4v sticker would fit the small housing properly. I don't know that there was a 4v 302 that ever used a housing small enough that the sticker would look 'at home'. If you have an aftermarket air filter housing... then do what works.
Do what your setup is. Although, I find it funny how BOSSMAVERICK's car had a 351C 4V and he had a 170 sticker on the air-cleaner.
