Yes it does. I liked FFW also. We were discussing that a few weeks ago. :(

Sorry to hear that. They never tried an all out effort here in the west, but it was still the only all Ford thing going.

I know I attended many a Fun Ford Weekend in Norwalk, Ohio where we had hosted several Maverick Comet Club International Regional Mini-Meets over the years. I know Norwalk has since changed hands and is now called "Summit something-or-other". They now host their own All-Ford Show that weekend.

It's not just the economy that has done them in. I've been going to FFW in Commerce, GA since it started. It peaked around 2000 and had been going downhill since then. It never, ever was as good as the Super Chevy show held at Commerce every year. We had several Maverick mini-meets starting there every year in 2004 and you could see the number of show cars and the number of vendors decreasing every year. We didn't meet there this year...on purpose.

I know in Norwalk it was primarily a drag racing event that they decided: "Hey.....how can we make more money with no more work? I know...let's have a car show". The car show people were treated like second rate citizens compared to the drag racers. The same thing occurred there....less and less vendors and less and less show cars. Hopefully they will turn it around because Norwalk is a very nice venue. Plus.....a pound of ice cream for one dollar....can't beat it!!

I hate that-Bristol FFW was the only place I could run 1/4 mile. There are 4 tracks pretty close to me,but they're all 1/8.
