engine/tranny all in and bolted up. went very well. Having trouble with vaccum lines coming from modulator, We have two, this tranny was from a 250. Have two steel lines with small rubber hoses on one end, they dont seem to lay on the firewall right. First of all do we need two vaccums for the modulator? second is where the hell does it go?

Mine has two. Altho connected in different places under the hood, it seems that both are going to manifold vacuum. I bet one of mine is wrong so...

Thanks all, We ended up with a single nippled modulator , had to grind alittle of the compression fastner so hose would travel thru it. debured the slot and worked like a charm , ran rubber fuel injection hose from mod. to steel line then to hose into brass nipple on maifold behind carb.
We need to read up on this edelbrock carb and hopefully it will tell where the rest of vaccum ports go.I believe one goes to the vac.advance on the dizzy.correct? Here are a few pics so far, not far from fire.Went to fire it up and found out we had a bad starter, bought it at a swap meet,oh well. Replace it tomorrow try again.

    Looking good! :thumbs2:

Plug your vac. advance into the port on the front passenger side of the carb, PCV into the large port on the back of the carb facing the firewall at 12:00, and cap the rest.

Sorry I couldn't make it over last night. Maybe some time this week i can swing over. and mess around for a while. When I took off from work the back end of the truck kind of slid so i decided against it since my parents were leaving. I can come over after 6:00 tonight, or anytime in the afternoon the rest of the week.
