    alright everybody!
    here is my problem.
since i bought this car the blinkers are blinking to fast...
so yeah, there is a short cut somewhere. (yep, all the light bulbs are good)
but before going everywhere around the car i'd like to have your advice on what to look first.

    here are the symptoms:

-blinker blinking to fast when turn signal ON (right or left)
-blinkers blinking normally when "hazard" turned ON
-also: on the dash, the left blinker stays ON sometimes (not blinking, just the light stays ON, while outside the light bulbs are OFF)(this problem seems to appear when the headlights are ON)

    any ideas???
    thanks a lot guys!:thumbs2:

one of your bulbs may be in backwards or wrong type. i've seen single element bulbs in dual element sockets cause problems. dirty sockets with bad connections can cause the problem. dirty sockets and bad wires right at the socket are the most likely. Check grounds.

sounds like a ground problem. check all connections to make sure everything looks good as well as the blinker under the dash... replace if necessary

so you think the problem is at the end (light bulbs, wires) not at the begining (dashboard, steering column, etc)?
cause it's kind of confusing that the turn signal blink too fast while the "hazard" signal blink normally.

the blinker under the dash has already been changed ;)

    thanks a lot guys :)

    What they said!

Note there are 2 flashers under the dash one for the turn signals and one for the hazards.

alright, so that was an easy fix!:biglaugh:
didn't know there was two flashers...
    please, don't tease me!

anyway... went back to my car after reading maverick1970's comment...
    crawled under the dash...
thinking for 30 seconds:" where the heck is this second flasher?"
and there it was! hiding between all those wires.
switched it with the one for the hazard signal and boom! it worked!

    thanks a lot guys!:thumbs2:

so now, my only problem is the left turn signal staying "ON" on the dashboard when i turn the headlights ON at night...

    i'll check that later:rolleyes:

light staying on with head lamps on is probably a bad ground in either LF or LR park lamp. I had the same problem with the right side on my 76 comet. It was a bad socket in the RF. got a new socket from my local motorcraft dealer and soldered it in. the socket should still be available new.
