    I'll be filling it sometime this week. What's the recommended fluid? i have something like 4:62s?... I'll have to look it up but it's something like that.

    I'm using synthetic in mine. No problems yet. Been in for about 4 years.:)

    we use 140 wt oil. we use schaefers brand oil. you will be ok with lucas 95-140 wt. running the heavy weight oil is how we feel confident with giveng a warntee on our work. we strongly recomend staying away from synthetic oil. ive seen multiple diffs develop gear noise in about 15,000 miles when useing it.

    I have ran the Amsoil for years with no gear noise problems. We also run the synthetic oil in our 8.8s with no noise. It also seems to make the DETROIT locker less notchey.

    So the verdict is 95-140 and consider synthetic...:burnout:

    If they are new gears and bearings i would run regular gear lube for the first few hundred miles, Then switch to synthetic.
