Got my grilles out today to start getting one ready, one is black with red and chrome Mav emblem,"sport lamps"with pot metal bezels ,and yellow lens,it also had metal brackets on the back of the lamps. The other grille is silver with plastic "sport lamps" with clear lens,no metal brackets, and twist out sockets that had daul filement bulbs. The black grille sockets do not twist out.I know that '71 Grabbers had clear lens and ran a yellow bulb, were they the plastic bezal style and did the metal brackets come on both designs? Also did the real Grabber Sport Lamps have a single filament bulb,or they use a double but just used the bright side? Want it to look original '71 Grabber if possible.
I agree..except my Grabber uses the double filament bulb..but only one filament lights up. Is this unique? Never thought there would be any differences...
You know, I think they all do. For some reason I thought it was a single filament since it is a single function light but it does seem like it takes an 1157 bulb. My bad!
Yep! 1157 bulbs are the ones in my '72 sport lamps--the lens is clear, bulbs yellow and pot metal frames (blk) around.
