Been a member her for some time but sold the two Maverick parts cars I had.
I have been lusting after a 72 Maverick near me that was bought and driven by a school teacher. It has been parked in a field for several years and has some rust. It is a 6 cylinder , automatic car. I have been saving up for it but each time I get a little saved something happens and I have to spend it.
Well, my son of 25 and daughter of 18 gave me the money tonight as a B-day present so i can go buy the car tomorrow. :bananaman:bananaman:bananaman
It will be a little while before I can get her home and get ya'll some pictures but I know how ya'll like pictures so when I pay for it I will get some.

Congrats on the new Mav Clint!! That old '72 parts car I got from you is still rolling on down the road, 83,000 miles and counting. :) It's been a great car. But if anything, the past 4 years have only been a stay of execution for it. It will finally get parted out for good some time within the next year, when I start putting my rust free '73 body together.

    Happy birthday!

Went and paid for my 72 Maverick today. Great ol fellow I am dealing with. His wife bought the car new and drove it to school for years as a teacher.
It has some rust under the doors and a small bit behind the front and rear tires but not bad at all. I think I can deal with it. I have not raised the hood yet. Each time I have looked at it I forgot the PB Blaster and I just can't get the hood up. I still fell OK about it though. This old guy was a mechanic all of his lifer and I feel certain he took care of the car for his wife. I know it is a 6 cylinder with a c4. Not sure what way I will go with it besides getting the body sorted out. There does not seem to be a dent on this car. Rust, yes but no dents. I think it was very well taken car of until it was put out to pasture years ago.
Pictures to come once I figure out how to get them from my cell phone to the internet
Thanks for the warm 2nd or 3rd welcome

    Thanks everybody.
I have sent them to my email 3 times and my son did it twice. They just are not making it for some reason. Oh well.
When I pick up the car this weekend hopefully I will get some real pictures with my digital camera. I know how to work it at least. lol
Sure am looking forward to having another project to work on.
