GT40 Heads

I think the info is on the Forum somewhere, but I'm not finding it here or anywhere. Can someone tell me what vehicles came with GT40 (not P) heads? Thanks.

 

93 to 95 mustang cobras and ford explores up to 97 i think.

 

I believe the first generation Lighting pickups had them also on their 351's.

 

explorers had "p" heads.

1996 and early 97 explorers hade gt40s late 97 up had the p heads just picked a set of the 40s out of a 97 at the u wrench it this fall for $37.00
im porting them now still ruffing them in here are some pics

well...... never heard that. Port work looks pretty good.

 

the early 97s had the non P heads due to extra stock of the 96 engines so they had the 96 engine but in a 97 truck

He is correct on the early/late 97 explorers.

Be careful on the porting on those GT heads. I ate one up by hitting a water jacket last year. It is still in the attic with it's unmolested brother if anyone wants them for cheap...

Yes, and how much do you think is cheap.

Shipping would likely kill you, but I am willing to work something out.

Otherwise, I have a spare for the set that is on my car.

Keep in mind, I find these all the time for $200-300 a pair.
