I went to Alabama and met Ray,, Great guy,,( Ray thank you so much for showing us around,,) Awesome guy Ray is,,and that Maverick sounds absolutely sweet,,, My son and I drove down and grabbed a 72 Grabber Ray had, Its going to become a Stallion Clone for My cousin Melisa,, I am going to restore my Stallion and the Grabber side by side,, I am hoping we get them done for the July show,,

I will post pic's,, I just got in,, Long drive back,, Down was easy,, Took my old 95 Cougar, has a 4.6 Cop engine,, ran down from Cleveland actual driving time 12 hours,, cost $72 bucks in gas, average 28.8 MPG. Kept a log I had to see if the numbers were rite,, On the way back,, well Baby was drinking it pretty good,, averaged 17MPG and she pulled the Maverick like it was air,, :thumbs2:

Ray,, Thank you again,,My Son and I had a great time,,Look forward to seeing you again :Handshake

Glad you made it back with no problems Joe! Was glad to finally meet you in person. Shoot me some progress pics when you get started on the car.

Hey Don, go back to bed. Believe me, you need some more beauty sleep. :)

Damn, I didn't think about it. I shoulda took a pic when he was pulling out. But yes, the Cougar seemed very capable. He used a U-Haul tow dolly and the car was missing engine and tranny so it was very light. Just a good rolling body.

That Cougar is an Animal,,, Fully loaded,, and power to spare,,, On the way down to Alabama,, she was light and fun to drive,, Cruise set at 80MPH,, and if ya need to pass and you step on the peddle she will put you back in your seat very nice like,,

I drive them because they are extremely safe,, very good handling,, Power,, and very reliable,, this car has 146,000 on it and its still going strong,, Just some body cancer on the rocker pannels. But I have a sweet 97 body that came in and I will build another one,, I had to look in the mirror to make sure the Maverick was still there,,Lmao
