    hi guys!
so, i got a leak on the top part of my radiator...
where the hose goes, there is a little hole on the metal part:(

i asked around, and it looks more expansive to have somebody taking care of it and fixing it than to replace it myself with a new one.

i found that one at advance auto parts:

    here

the price goes to $180 once i check for availability.

it shouldn't be to hard to replace it myself, right?

    thanks for the advices!:thumbs2:

well u have to pull the rad weather to replace or fix. SOOOOOOO pull it and then slightly sand the area around the leak. If its a small pin hole it can be soldered, if its bigger then a respectable RAD shop can replace the neck. Its the part that the hose goes over. Either way it is no big problem for a rad shop. Up here that repair is about $25.00 to $50.00. Or buy a new rad and just make sure it is for a Mav.Several members have locations for good deals and or Aluminum Rads. I have 2 but far to much for shipping to you. good luck. Ron:)

Contact jimmy2gates in BC. He was selling 3 core aluminium rads and shipping out alot to members or visitors to this site. Every1 had nothing but praise for these rads. Made specifically for a mav or comet. He is on this site lots. not much more than the price you found at the local parts house. good luck again Ron(y)

ive had one of those Advance radiators in my 4dr for more than 8 yrs now w/o any problems. if u wanna stock replacement then i'd go for it. or like Ron said, get with Champion Cooling and get a new 3 core aluminum one for the same money (y)

as far as the repeir, i asked 3 different shops and they all told me a lot more money than that:(
that's why i rather change it for a new one.

what would be the differences between the aluminum and the stock one?
i'm probably gonna go for the stock one since i have a auto part store next door... but i'd like to know the differences:)

it's reassuring to know that somebody has that one for that long without any trouble:thumbs2:

thanks a lot for the answers!:thumbs2:
