thankyou for my acceptance for what appears to be an elite club of nice people. my car is a 1977 ford maverick and i found this web site because i"m in need of a hard to find today part for my car. i went to the tire shop to buy tires and get a front end alignment today and did not have sucess, because the caster adjustment rod had been stripped it is the stabilizer between the frame of the car under the radiator and the lower a frame and has a 11/16 threaded nut on the front for alignment purpose. Iprefer to buy this part new but as of yet have not been able to find it new and i hope if used is not to badly rusted. if anyone can help me that would be good by e-mail irarocha56@hotmail.com or phone me at 603 251 1951

a reply to Demmitt what it seems to be on your alignmrnt problem is same expereince i have had when the rubber bushings wear and have slop or give at them the car will drive like it is rockin &rollin down the road which is not a good feelin not to mention i think dangerous , be careful till you get it staighten out properly. I had changed the bushings before and the problem i have now afterwoods is the 11/16 strut rod nut is now stipped on the threads from going on and off now i need the new stut rod.

You probably won't find a new one. I'm sure if you post in the parts wanted section though, that someone will be able to help you with a perfectly good used one.
