Carb Question

    Does a eldebrock 1406 carb have to be for ford or can you install ford linkage on any 1406. :hmmm:

    Okay, I figured that one out, now the next question is do I need to run a plate between carb and manifold? My guess is No. But is there a gasket?

    Yes definately a gasket between carb and Manifold.

    I am pretty sure you gonna have to order the gasket separately, don't think it'll come with the carb.

    the new carb will come with a gasket. you will need some fuel line to make it work. that should be about all you will need to get it done

    Is there any advantage to running a spacer plate. ie; Low end responce?

    One of the reasons I don't do Edelbrocks. $62 for a fuel line? I bought just the close fuel nipple for one and it was $17. Whay are their parts so high?
