It`s your personal choice if you want to stay with the stock wheel. Thats not a original maverick wheel its for a mustang II. The original wheel is the two spoke same green as interior hard plastic. I have a different wheel on my 70 cause they are just more comfortable to drive any distance. But on my 71 It has the original wheel with a dealer installed sport wrap that helps it a little.
If the car were 100% stock original I would say keep the original wheel but seeing how it is not I would change it. I hate the feel of the skinny stock wheels. So, change it to look and feel good to you! It's not like you're gonna lose any points at the car shows because of it.
I pulled the factory wheel just to see how this one looked, maybe I'm just not use to it...I like the fact that it's thicker, and not oval like the one that was on the car. But I'm going to have to change the logo in the horn button.
That one looks more comfortable. I'd keep it. My car has some piece of crap 3 spoke aftermarket. It needs to go its too small. More money
i voted for the stock one thinking that the one in the pic was it (i was thinking its probly a stallion). i say keep it. it looks great.
Dave; I'll trade you a complete Grant GT wheel, 14" with billet center! Just let me know if you want to do that...............
