wing window help

    I'm re-installing my wing windows and unfortunately I didn't mark where the screw holes for the latch/ hasp are. They is now burried under glued on 1/4 inch foam and headliner. Can someone show a pic of where the hasp is locTED so I can make the correct cut into the headliner the first time. Thanks

    The headliner isnt cut just 2 screw holes. No pic sorry. Maybe someone can measure it for you and supply a pic.

    I wonder if you remove the trim panel can you get your hand up from behind to feel for the holes. Maybe you can get a pic tool in from behind and push on the head liner or puncture it.

    I use a shoemaker's awl to locate holes above the headliner, and for hidden holes. Just use a small one, and it doesn't hurt the headliner if you get it wrong.

    Rusted paint...The PO painted all the chrome silver :huh: This part shined up pretty with 000 steel wool. The screws heads are/were a little rusty:Handshake
