    1972 Ford Maverick Grabber
    Hello guys and gals!.
My name is Josh and I am the proud new owner of a 1972 Ford Maverick Grabber! The previous owner did a little motor work to it, but that's about all. It is Grabber Blue with no stripes (been repainted) and is sporting a decent 302, pretty good cam, Torker 289 intake and Holley 650. It has a set of headers and an electric fuel pump. The trans is a stock C-4, and it still has the 3.27 gears with open diff. I have just finished up putting all new brakes all around, Drums turned, Shoes, brake cylinders, all new hardware, and Master Cylinder. The Car is real solid and only has a little surface rust here and there, Floor Pans and trunk are perfect. One area that needs attention is the rear springs, Someone has swapped them out for ? The springs on here now have the shackles pushed all of the way back touching the frame. :hmmm: There's not a lot of flex in the rear right now.:D I'm sure I will have a lot of questions as things progress, looks like I found a great forum!

In addition to the Maverick I also inherited my Grandfathers 1968 Ford Ranchero, 390V8 auto

Granddad left one sweet Ranchero! Nice Maverick score also! May as well start looking for a fan shroud to help cool the southern heat. Good Luck!

    Welcome from Pittsburgh Pa!

Yes my vin has a 93 in it. What does that mean?

Thanks for the welcome everyone. As far as a fan shroud it needs a new rad first, someone has put a pound of radiator stop leak in it!! It blows more water out than stays in, and no the head gasket is not leaking ;).

I have thought about it! I will be down in Byron in May for the DNI Shootout(Datsun Nissan Infinity) at Silver Dollar raceway. If the Mav is up to par my wife and I might make the trip. It's a good 4 hour drive for me without a trailer and another car in tow!:) We'll see
